Copter Geo-Tracker™ (CGT) is an automatic locator designed specialy for helicopter. It makes use of the Global Positioning System ( GPS ) to enable a remotely, close to real-time, location tracking, speed, course direction, and time stamp. These devices combine GPS technology, mapping, and an intuitive user interface, transmitted on low-earth orbit satellite network transmitter, that works in a parallel way (no interference) with other avionic equipments.

With the combination of algorithm, data history logging and other features, Copter GeoTracker™ will gather and transmit only the collected relevant data needed to determine precision flight track of the given helicopter.

Transmission Mode

The CGT provide three select-able transmission mode (subject to user requirment), this is an option to reduce transmission cost of user.

1. Continuous Mode.
In this mode, CGT will continue transmitting data points to the data center in a given time (eg. every 5, 10, or 30 minutes)

2. Collective Mode.
In this mode, CGT will collects, saves and transmit data points in one satellite transmission. CGT able to collects 1, 3, 6 or 12 GPS positions every 5 to 30 minutes, with 5 minutes additional time to transmit the data (eg. if CGT collects 6 GPS positions in every 25 minutes, it will collects data every 4 minutes and 10 seconds).

3. Movement Mode.
In this mode, CGT will tranmits GPS position only when speed and height parameter alteration (parameters are subject to user requirment). For example, GPS position will be transmitted when altitude alternate every 1,000 ft. (B) or speed alternate more than 100 knots (D).

GIS Modul

The CGT also can be integrated with GIS (Geographic Information System) to locate the given helicopter. By using multiple layer maps, this modul able to use both vector and raster maps, depend on user's point of interest. This modul also provide data history logging that can be shown on feature use.
